I just like these things...don't know why

Your Power Level is: 70%

You're a very powerful person, and you know that all of your power comes from within.

Keep on doing what you're doing, and you'll reach your goals.

You Are 36% Open Minded

You aren't exactly open minded, but you have been known to occasionally change your mind.

You're tolerant enough to get along with others who are very different...

But you may be quietly judgmental of things or people you think are wrong.

You take your own values pretty seriously, and it would take a lot to change them.

Finally, a night out

Last night was pretty great. I went with my mom and sisters to Lincoln to have some fun. We ate at Spaghetti Works (big burger with cheddar cheese and seasoning) and then saw the Nickel Creek concert at the Rococo Theater. Great music and great venue (check out their site at www.rococotheater.com). It's super old and looks like a castle, with stained glass chandeliers, ornately carved stone, stone stairs, and huge wooden doors. Unfortunately, the auditorium isn't air conditioned, so we were roasting. I had my shorts and sleeves rolled up. I walked around through the place during the performance to get different views and ended up seeing the opening act, Matt Pond PA in the lobby. I think Nickel Creek met people in the lobby afterwards--dang it!! Everyone wanted to leave a little early, so I missed NC. I did get a t-shirt though. I took a cookbook from Crystal with all chocolate desserts. I'm making her the Killer Chocolate Cheesecake recipe for her b-day.

what's new with yours truly

I've been busy lately, as evident by the lack of posts. This week alone kept me going. Besides work and school, I wrote an article about one of our choirs (not the one I'm in) for our campus paper (get some cash for it too). I also took my car in to get checked and an issue I've had with it may take $400 to fix, so I'm just gonna pretend the issue isn't happening. On Wednesday, I had a recital in which about a dozen students did performances. I was 6th in line with "Sento Nel Core" (solo with piano accompaniment). I was nervous, shaking, and my hands were numb, but it went well and I got some compliments. Yesterday was my sister's b-day, so we went to a vineyard nearby to sample wine (good too) and then went for cheese (go Lent!) pizza at a pizzaria in the town. When we got home, I went to "End of the Spear" at our theater to help raise money for a mission trip to Indonesia. Good movie with strong Christian message without ever approaching preachy. It had a great musical score too. This is the 1st time I've gone to a movie by myself, but it was cool. Today mom and I went roadtripping in a very local way, hit a downtown store, and I'm doing homework and just chillin'. I might go to a play tomorrow.
I have 2 weeks this month that are short due to Easter, which rocks. That's followed by the final week of class, followed by finals, my juries, and a concert.
Here we go---

terrible twos

I'm a bit late on this, but as of last month, my blog is a two-year old! Now there's an excuse for ranting and throwing fits!
