aaaaaaah

Today I'm stressed and down.  Not only am I confused as to what to do with my life, but I keep running into roadblocks when I try to take a step forward with it.  I ordered a very nice Dell yesterday and got in on some deals that were over last night.  Today I think I'm cancelling the order due to financial reasons and a looming panic I've had since I hung up the phone from them.  I don't know what to do anymore.
One of our cats (who was pregnant) was taken this week by someone my sister knows.  That's one down.  The lady may come for one or two more which is great.
Haven't done work on the house in days due to the heat, but it's further along than it was last time I blogged.  The whole place has been power-blasted (in some cases more than once) but I still need to do it again on the north and south sides, which have serious issues.  The primer is the same color as the paint, so I have an idea of what this whole thing will look like in the end.  Should be a good change.  I have primer on three surfaces, but I have three more to go, plus the trim and accents.
Good news-doing all these tasks have buffed up my arms and I've maintained a good weight.  I'm 25 pounds lighter than I was senior year which is wonderful.
Tried to play piano today to relax and dad yelled at me, so I'm just sitting here right now.  Don't have classwork until next Monday.  La dee da.

And the money kept rolling out...

Hey all.  Just when I've got money saved, I lose it.  Here's some examples in recent history: I've been saving for the ever elusive computer and  I had to spend the money on prescription cat food for Milo, 3 Rx refills for me, a cell phone bill, college loans, gas, textbooks, and my car, which is in the shop yet again.  Right now I am without self-transportation because the car wouldn't start.  The mechanics said they aren't having much trouble with it...which is always the way of it.  My first car would die every 10 min. and the mechanics never had it die when they got it...AHHH!  It may be the fuel pump, so there goes money for parts and labor.  They're checking the starter and another part as well.  On top of this, I've been taken off the MPV schedule for 2 months.  Don't ask.
Right now I'm comparing Compaq/HP and Dell desktops.  Both have good features and bonuses.  The Dell comes with a free Kodak digital camera and the Compaq/HP comes with free shipping and a DVD-ROM.  Time will tell what I end up getting.
I know it's summer and people are busy with everything, so thanks to those who keep reading.  A couple have stopped altogether and I'm not sure what's up.  I've had a hard time connecting with one person in particular.
Summer term has begun for me!  I signed on to take History I and Creative Writing, but I think I'm going to drop History I so I can focus on the other class, get work in (somewhere) and get going on selecting music for my debut CD.  Wish me luck!

Enough with the cats already! Thought some of the strays had gone away. The gray one was hanging out by our garage and meowing loud. Turns out she has 2 kittens in there, probably 3 weeks old. Yes, they're lovely, but they need to GO! Just got Honey fixed. Surgery and shots: $200.00. Trying to be a nice person who helps a stray: priceless. Just priceless.
My mom and I are sick with the flu. She's puking, I'm not (yet). I slept for 13 hours last night, got up, went to bed after a while, and slept for 4 more hours. I was still tired when I got up. Dizzy too. Fun stuff.
Good news: FINALLY got the acceptance letter from CU. Also got a letter from the current college: they've sorted through 200 entries and picked my poem for the annual publication. I've been invited to an honorary dinner with the unveiling of the book and have been asked to join the judging panel for the next one as well!! YES! I know I should be a writer-this is my 3rd college publication I've been accepted to.
Classes start this week. Taking History 1 and Creative Writing (go fig). Should be interesting.
Next Monday there is a talent search with cash prizes here in town. I'm thinking of doing it but need to fight the nerves first. Here's one for courage...
Check out Dickie Robert's with David Spade--very funny and has a good point. Tomorrow I'm watching Timeline with Paul Walker.

Side note: my dad cried when I told him about the poem. He hugged me 2x and said "I'm so proud of you, I really am." This goes down in the books.

Red, White, and Blah

Just got done with all the 4th festivities. My older sister came over with her husband. My other sister brought 5 friends over. Me? No one. Interesting though how I'm the only one that did yardwork and cleaned the house. I haven't felt quite right (go fig) and didn't get into all of the celebration. Went downtown with the family but ditched them after they drove me to insanity by stopping every 10 feet to talk with someone on the crowded sidewalks. Nothing thrilled me so I got a 'tiger's blood' snow cone and went home. After eating with the gang of people I watched "Batman Returns" by my lonesome and recorded my version of "Everytime" by Britney Spears. She sucks, but the song is well-written. At 9:30 I drove myself to the fireworks area and found a spot only 1 block from where my folks were sitting. (What can I say, I've got an eye). The fireworks were 20-25 minutes late but were very good when they actually got going. Went home (beating the crowd) and shot off the rest of my fireworks.
This week I have to take the mother cat to get spayed and vaccinated, get my hair cut, work both jobs, buy my textbooks for summer term, call to have my car's headliner replaced, send in even more paperwork to CU so they can finalize my financial aid, and God knows what else.
I did have a good time with people in general today...just was a bit out of the mood. Got to see a lifelong best friend that I haven't seen in a while and though we did the small talk thing, it was good to see him.
